Ten Years of Coke+Motorsports to Start in January

Yesterday the International Speedway Corporation announced it has signed an exclusive ten-year agreement with Coca-Cola North America. Under the terms of the agreement, beginning in January 2008 Coke will become the Official Soft Drink, Official Sparkling Beverage, and Official Water for ten ISC facilities: Daytona International Speedway, The DAYTONA 500 Experience, Chicagoland Speedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway, Kansas Speedway, Michigan International Speedway, Richmond International Raceway, Darlington Raceway (in 2009), Talladega Superspeedway and Watkins Glen International (in 2011), and Phoenix International Raceway (in 2012). This means the SG will get to enjoy her favorite soda at the 50th running of the Daytona 500. Vroom! I wonder if they’ll have mini bottles. I wonder if Rudy will be there. Coke – and only Coke - will be served by Americrown, ISC's catering, concessions and merchandising subsidiary, and by other facility concessionaires. "Coca-Cola Enterprises is thrilled to be able to offer Coca-Cola products to hundreds of thousands of race fans across the country," said Terry Marks, President, North American Business Unit, Coca-Cola Enterprises. "With our partners at Coca-Cola North America providing superior marketing programs, we look forward to making the race experience for motorsports fans even better with Coca-Cola." Thanks, Terry. You’ve already made it better for me.
