Facilities Management Catering (FMC) handles all catering at Wimbledon, the largest single annual sporting catering operation carried out in Europe.
About 1,600 FMC catering staff are required to operate the catering outlets and the quantity of food and drink served by them during the fortnight is huge...(look for the list in another post).
Public catering facilities include:
Tea Lawn:Champagne and Pimm’s, light refreshments including pizza, salads, Dutchee sausages, sandwiches, baguettes, cookies, pastries, strawberries & cream, and ice-cream plus The Long Bar.
Café Pergola: Situated by Gate 5, offering self-service lunch, teas and light refreshments.
No.1 Court stadium has five food and beverage outlets:
The Food Village: traditional fish and chips, hot wok, pizza, Southern-fried chicken, light refreshments and strawberries & cream plus Village Bar
Aorangi Food Court: Self-service hot food, baguettes, pizza and light refreshments
Aorangi Café: Hamburgers, strawberries & cream, light refreshments and bar
Aorangi Picnic Terrace: Pimm’s and ice-cream
Conservatory Buffet: Self-service lunch and afternoon tea
