Maybe there should not be so much Free stuff at Pinstrips in the Park. Maybe it should just be a game shown on a giant screen. Free stuff makes people crazy. This man (picture) literally pushed me out of the way to get himself a Free vanilla coke. Thankfully my camera was in my hand so I could capture the moment. You would have thought it was a Free coke stand in the middle of the desert the way people were climbing all over one another for beverages.
Standing in line to get into the park, a woman behind me complained to her 10-year-old about people cutting the line...then she pushed her way in front of me and another woman. We started laughing immediately and agreed a Free Blanket and a Free Poster was not worth the argument. I love those small bonding moments with strangers.
I vote for No Free Stuff, just baseball and concessions, at the next event. And do it again soon. And move the beer garden closer to the screen...currently it's like a backyard dog pen.
