Hall of Fame Beef in Texas

Did anyone know Nolan Ryan was in the cow business? You can buy Nolan Ryan’s Tender Age Beef at Kroger (in Texas and Louisiana) and at Fry’s in Arizona. Or, you can hit an Astros, Round Rock Express (Triple-A Astros) and/or Corpus Christi Hooks (Double-A Astros) game and get a burger. It may not be organic – though it is ‘lean and tender’ - but it has the stamp of the only guy in ML history to have his number retired by three different teams (Angels, Astros, Rangers). Ye-haw! Trivia: to whom did Nolan Ryan give up his first ML Home Run? Hint: it wasn’t Joe McCarthy (the Hall of Famer, not the Senator)
