Food (exactly what, I'm trying to determine), face-painting (of course), giant inflatables, sign-making, music, and Thrashers fans hoping they can tie up their series with the New York Rangers...game 2 starts 3pm, following the Blueland Block Party on Phillips Drive.
I realize I'm offering very little information here, but it feels irresponsible not to acknowledge the playoffs, especially when there's a block party involved, even if I really don't think there should be hockey in April.

There will be hockey into early May, my dear. It's just nice to see playoff hockey back in Atlanta, which for those who don't know or care, used to house the Atlanta Flames before they moved to Calgary in 1980. From a gourmet standpoint, you gotta love the menu at Philips Arena: it serves Buckhead Diner's blue cheese fries and Atlanta Fish Markets' famous Crab Cake Sandwiches!
