The first Major League game ever to be played at Harbor Park - home of the Norfolk Tides, Triple-A affiliate of the Orioles – is today at 2pm.
It’s Sold Out, of course, which means they’re a bit too busy to discuss deep-fried Twinkies with me. It also means they’re expecting $50,000 in beer sales, not bad for a park that seats 12,067 fans.
Single game Tides tickets go on sale tomorrow (3/31). You can get them at the park, online (norfolktides.com) or through Ticketmaster.
The Tides home opener is April 13th v. the Louisville Bats. Their season starts on the road on April 5th v. the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees(!).
